Luc Burgard

Member of the Supervisory Board, COO of Recipharm

Luc Burgard has been heading up pharmaceutical and biotech companies for more than ten years. He is currently COO at Recipharm – a pharma company operating in Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) – and is responsible for 30 sites and 9,000 employees worldwide. During the pandemic he was Head of Operations at the Bioprocess Solutions division of Sartorius, a pharma and lab supplier based in Göttingen. In this role Luc was responsible for the global provision of materials and technologies. The company has production, sales and R&D sites in more than 20 countries in Europe, North America and Asia.

The German newspaper Handelsblatt nominated Luc Burgard as a “2020 Forward Thinker”. Luc is a top manager who specializes in the development of profitable, sustainable and resilient supply chains and business operations for international companies. He holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics and Innovation Management from the French National Institute of Applied Sciences, a BSc in Quality Management from the University of Paris Cergy-Pontoise, and a BTech in Electronics from the High Tech School in Strasbourg.
